MailChimp sends duplicate opt-in emails

  1. When a user wants to subscribe to a newsletter list in MailChimp they get 3 opt-in emails.
I have tested it with diffetent emailaddresss, disabling/enabling the add-on.
MailChimp sends 3 ( 1 every second) e-mails which have been sent from mail2.mcsignup.com.

Looks like the form submission is sent 3 times to MailChimp..

    Any help would be appreciated.

  2. Gravity Forms only sends the submission once, so if it is happening more than once then something else on your site is causing multiple posts to occur. We have seen this caused by plugin conflicts. You will need to test for plugin and theme conflicts by following the instructions here:

  3. Carl,

    thanks.

Disabled all plugins, and by activating them one by one, and testing after every activation, I found the plugin causing the problem -> Simple Facebook Connect.

    Problem solved.

  5. It is due to how he processes the content multiple times before the page is rendered, which was resulting in the form being submitted multiple times due to how it is processed and what Simple Facebook Connect does.

However, we made changes to Gravity Forms a while back that resolved a conflict with Simple Facebook Connect and fixed this issue. It sounds like SFC has made additional changes that may be causing a new conflict.

We'll take a look and see if we can reproduce this locally and then debug to see why it is happening.
