Multi-page forms

  1. Hi, just installed Gravity Forms yesterday - love it :-) I'd like to use it to publish test questions for students on my site so am keen to get the multi-page upgrade as soon as it comes out. How long do you think that will be? (Just so I can make plans accordingly)

  2. Hi to you and I'm glad you're loving Gravity Forms. Multi-page functionality is definitely coming, but it's probably going to be the 1.4 release later in the year. We don't have a definite release date on that yet.

We're busy working on another product at the moment, and after that's released we'll be focusing on some major updates to Gravity Forms. Until then, we're still going to be releasing minor updates, bug fixes, etc. but stuff like the multi-page functionality won't be included in those.

Some folks have already used some work arounds to enable this. If you're feeling adventurous, you can try their solution.

Hi, I was reading the release notes for 1.4 and did not see this feature. Can you confirm if this is indeed included in 1.4, and if not, is it expected very soon? I am ready to buy today if this is supported! Thanks!

  4. Nope. It didn't make it into 1.4 but it's still on the to-do list.

  5. How soon is multipage expected? Is it available in a beta?

  6. No, multi-page forms aren't available yet. It's on the list, but right now other things like the PayPal integration are taking precedence. We don't have a definite timeline on this feature at this point.

Plus 1! We've had our license for a while now, waiting to use it once multi page forms are introduced!

  9. Yes, we are waiting for this as well.

This shot you tweeted on Oct 18 (page break - http://goo.gl/Rh3O), is that multi-page? and when will we see it?

  10. Yes, that is multi-page and it will be part of the 1.5 release that we are planning on releasing as a beta release sometime next week.

Has this multi-page form been released as yet? We are holding off purchase until we see it. We are wanting to create forms like this - lifedirect.co.nz - will this be possible with your system?

  12. Not released yet. The 1.5 version will be released soon though. If you purchase before it's released, you can have access to the latest release candidate with the Multi-page forms if you want to start working with them.

You can see a demo here:

    http://www.rocketgenius.com/gravity-forms-1-5-multi-page-form-preview/

You would have to do quite a bit of custom work to make the form behave similar the one on the site you referenced.

  13. @PatrickP as Kevin mentioned the Gravity Forms v1.5 release is currently in Release Candidate status which means it is nearing final release. However, it is stable and available to download to any customers who wish to use it now.

Gravity Forms v1.5 does do multi-page forms, including AJAX paging, but it won't do it exactly as your example. It would show each page one by one as you page through them.

You would NOT be able to create a form exactly as the one you referenced. That is a highly specialized implementation as far as the way it does it's visual paging and not something that any of the available form builders (hosted or otherwise) is going to do for you.
