No idea what I'm doing

  1. I am new to Gravity forms and WordPress, for that matter, web programming. I am building a site that I need two types of log ins. 1. People log in to list their site, 2. People log in to get access to info and be a member.

What will gravity forms do for me? Build the form, handle sending conformation email, keep a database of signups?

Also does gravity forms integrate with iThemes theme, Builder?

Thanks for any info on these questions and what I need to do to get started?

  2. Gravity Forms does not create WordPress users so it cannot be used to create WordPress users or logins if that is what you had in mind.

It can be used to create Posts (and Pages if you use an API hook) so it could be used for someone to post information to your site. But it can't be used to limit a users access. You would have to use a role management plugin to do that. Or a membership site plugin.

It is designed to capture information via forms. So if those signups aren't intended to be used for some sort of login or to create WordPress users then you could use it that way. But it sounds like some sort of membership/registration and access control plugin. That isn't what Gravity Forms does.

Gravity Forms does work with the Builder theme.
