Notification via SMS or TXT?

Just curious to know if GF can generate a form submission notification via TXT or SMS?

I'm currently using Wufoo and depend heavily on the TXT/SMS notifications whenever someone submits an entry via one of those forms.

    Thanks.

  2. Right now it's just an email notification. I'm sure we'll add TXT/SMS support in the future release but I'm not sure exactly when that will be.

  3. One hack I've used in the past is to just email it to the email address of the mobile phone. If you customize the notification to be small enough for an SMS, you can just send it to the address of the phone and receive it as an SMS. I'm not sure if all mobiles have an email address, but every one I've used in the past couple years has. Maybe that would work for you?

For example, my mobile is with AT&T, but the number is old so the email address is with Cingular: 7085551212@mms.mycingular.com.

Here are a couple pages explaining the phone number format:

  4. Very good workaround. Most mobile companies do have an email address you can use to send yourself an SMS and notifications can easily be setup to using them so that you receive an SMS notification.

The problem with sending SMS is you have to do so through a service, so we would have to work with a third party service that provides online-to-SMS services and it would most likely come with an added fee. So it's not as simple as just adding the functionality to the plugin. We'd love to integrate with a 3rd party service to do this down the road, but it's not a high priority at this time.

  5. Developer license holders can do this with the Twilio Add-on now.
