I'm a developer based in Sydney. Freelance, small client base, full development from end to end.
Since I started using Gravity Forms, I can offer my clients much more flexibility and interactivity with their audiences than what would ordinarily be possible with a standard Wordpress install. It has allowed me, the CSS and designer, to save immense amount of money on development and information handling, because I have the power to put together fantastic forms that make the clients happy and allow me to get my information into the right places, super easily.
My latest creation using Gravity forms is a crowdsourced photography website. I have been using Gravity Forms to get the users logged in, signed onto the campaign monitor mailing list, and then to upload their photo submissions along with captions and stories. With the latest version of GF (v1.6) I saved even more time with the ability to put images as featured images on the post along with several other time saving features that had I not built them already I would have been using them right away (http://photography.crowdsourced.travel/submissions for the form http://photography.crowdsourced.travel for the website).
It has made my life much easier to instruct my contributing photographers to submit their work there instead of handling it myself. And then I get a publication-ready photo that's been attributed properly, loaded in as a custom post type, and has the necessary fields filled out. It's incredibly simple, elegant and flexible and my site would not have been possible without the gravity forms.
I even had several customisations required (including pre-populated fields). Instead of having to request direct support, someone else has already asked the same question and the development team provided the code necessary to get it working, enough for me to be able to fix the code for my own form and have it working within minutes.
I am so glad I became a developer user many years ago, and I have used Gravity forms on nearly every single site I have built ever since then. Thank you for creating such an excellent product, and then building the ecosystem surrounding that product. It's great to see it improve and evolve, and hence the power of my websites has evolved along with the plugin.
Thanks Kevin, Alex, and Carl (and anybody else on the GF team I don't see on the forums). Keep up the great work.
