Package with Example Forms to Import?

  1. I thought it might be a good idea to provide some example forms to allow people to quickly get started with Gravity forms. I exported some from the demo and was able to import them into my installation but that doesn't seem as convenient.

    Perhaps examples such as:

    - Contact Form
    - Newsletter Sign-up
    - Survey

Could be beneficial to new users to help them get orientated. Maybe even a public repository where people can share their forms.

  2. Yep, a download repository is on my to-do list. We plan on updating the downloads sections quite a bit more as soon as time allows. We're focusing on getting some of the new features and add-ons out the door and then will circle around to stuff like this as soon as we can.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I hope this gets added in soon. I've spent weeks going in circles trying to get my forms working. Is it not possible to export out some of the ones you currently use in demos and upload them for us newbies to try out?

  4. I'm working on some of these this week and will make them available for download as soon as I can.

It shouldn't take you weeks to get a form working. We're here to help out, so just post a question if you get stuck and we'll be happy to work with you.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Kevin! It's mostly been a time thing on my end, but I'll be working on it again this weekend and will definitely stop through with questions.

@Kevin, it's been a while since I've been able to get back to the forum and implement this fully on my site, but any progress on getting the sample forms uploaded?

If not, can we simply create a thread that would allow users share theirs or a place where we can connect with those who may be willing to share/help.

Please note I have not searched the forum thoroughly...only came back to this post since it's been about 5 months ago. I will, however, search while waiting your reply.

    Thanks.

So is there anyplace to download sample forms? I have used form builders on other platforms and they come with gorgeous forms pre-built for the user to start using and adapting right away.

This thread is almost two years old now.....

  8. Wow, almost 2 years you say.. hmm. Nope, no sample repository just yet. We've simply had bigger fish to fry although I'm pushing to actually get something put together over the next few weeks if I can. So, what kind of "example" forms are you looking for exactly?

The most common forms for e.g. Job Application, Survey Form, Contact Form, Order Form and so on. You can check out one of the more popular scripts Mach Forms that comes with 20 sample forms already set up for the customer to edit to his / her liking.

@Kevin, rather than wait until you have time to get to this, isn't this one of those jobs you could farm out to an external developer?

    Here's a good starting point:
