Pagelines & GF Pre Sales

I was trying to find out as I dont believe there is a free or trial version of GF, I am a novice web person, not really comfortable fiddling too deeply with code, I was keen to try or purchase GF but I have Pagelines Pro Theme and I was keen to know if there is real compatibility issues prior to purchasing. I am keen on using GF within my theme and I wanted to know will I have CSS issues.
There is much comment on other forums related to this going back some months, I cant seem to find out on the GF forums as It says I cant access that area unless I have purchased. I was keen to get some feedback or if anyone has any examples of GF working well on pagelines sites.

I appreciate anyones help with this, just I have purchased other plug ins that force me to learn how to heavily code and get things working.

    cheers

    Mick

  2. I'm not aware of any specific issues. If there are any being reported elsewhere we'd be glad to take a look but we would need details on what the issue is.

Apparently there are many issues. We too want to try GF, but the guys over at Pagelines say there are several issues with GF and a number of plugins, themes and even the dashboard. As they put it, "there is not much we can do if GF wants to step on Pagelines code". I have heard this over and over again. All we use are Pagelines themes and we would really like to try GF but right now we cant take the risk. If we knew it would work well, we would buy a developers license.

  4. "there are several issues with GF and a number of plugins, themes and even the dashboard"

I would say this is more a Pagelines problem than any plugins.

My post was written a little funny. What I meant was, the Pagelines guys say that GF causes problems.... with their theme, other themes, other plugins, and even the dashboard in some cases.

I don't really know. Just repeating what I have heard several times.

  6. @cmiller Funny, because we have yet to encounter a single instance where a conflict was CAUSED by Gravity Forms itself. I have Paglines Pro and I have yet to run into any issues. So unless you can provide us with a specific example of where it's causing an issue, there isn't much to go on.

We have yet to run into a single code conflict issue with any of the major themes on the market (Headway, Builder, WooThemes, StudioPress, Organic Themes, Allure Themes, Press75, Thesis, etc.) so the fact that Pagelines has an issue definitely points to the problem being on their end, not ours.

The fact that the Pagelines guys haven't reached out to us isn't instilling any confidence considering we always reach out to theme developers when we run into an issue with a theme.

  7. Hi

I have both pagelines platform pro and Gravity Forms installed on one of my websites.

I have a Gravity Form widget in the left part of the footer.

Now, on the homepage GF confirmation message does not seem to work: http://tobys.co.za/
but the same GF widget works on the gallery page http://tobys.co.za/gallery/

Is this because there might be conflicts between GF and some elements on the homepage?

  8. Looks like it may be a problem with the jCarousel script. It's breaking and most likely causing the Ajax form submission to fail.

  9. Hi,
I'm using PageLines Platform Pro and just purchased a Developer's License for Gravity Forms. I'm trying to place a form on one of my pages, but the form refuses to show up. The form should be showing up on the main content area to the right of the page. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  10. Ok, I've pin pointed the problem. Any time there's a field with enabled conditional logic, the form breaks/disappears. Is there a work around/solution for this problem?

  11. @bullpenmarketing, Yep, there's some kind of script conflict with your theme/plugins that's causing the conditional logic script to break. That's why the form isn't visible when conditional logic is enabled.

You'll need to try testing for a conflict and see what you can find.. it may a script within your theme itself.

  12. Looks like this script is your problem.. line 32 - related to your menu implementation

    /* <![CDATA[ */ jQuery(document).ready(function() {  jQuery('ul.sf-menu').superfish({ delay: 100, speed: 'fast', autoArrows:  1, dropShadows: 1 });  }); /* ]]> */

I copied your page to my test area and when I remove that line/script reference.. it works just fine.

You can talk to your theme provider to see what they recommend to fix the broken script.

also, I'm closing this topic. This isn't a pre-sale question. If you still need help with this form, please post a new topic in the support forum.
