paypal express

  1. I can see gravity forms integrates with Paypal Standard and Paypal Pro...does it work with Paypal Express? I'd very much like to purchase it and use it for my order forms but don't want a Paypal Pro account and I need customers to be able to pay without creating a Paypal account.

If the answer is no, is there any plan to add this functionality? If so, any idea when? Any other work arounds?

Not currently, but we are looking into it. It isn't necessarily high up on our list since we support two other methods with that payment processor. As for workarounds, I haven't yet seen any. Hope that answers your questions.

  3. Thanks for the quick reply. I know you support two other methods but it doesn't make too much sense (in my opinion) to leave Paypal Express out. Paypal Standard pretty much just sucks because the customer has to create a Paypal account which adds many more steps and is totally inconvenient. Paypal Pro is better but costs an additional $30/month plus you definitely need an SSL certificate.

Paypal Express is clearly extremely desirable because it's just like Paypal Standard but there's an option for the customer to pay without going through the nonsense of setting up a Paypal account.

I'm sure you already know all this of course, but that's why I can't really understand why it wouldn't be high on the list. I'd gladly trade the ability to use Paypal Standard for Paypal Express any day. I'd think just about anyone else trying to setup payments through Paypal would agree.

I appreciate that, but there are at least one hundred other payment processors in our list currently, and each development is based on need. We are trying to cover as many people as possible. We will get around to doing one for Paypal Express (as long as Paypal doesn't make yet another standard and API...) in the future, but I'm currently unsure of when.

I just didn't want your expectation to be that it would be coming tomorrow.

  5. Another vote for PayPal Express integration (for all the reasons cited by Clearmarble above). PayPal Express is quickly becoming the standard for PayPal integration for its minimal cost to the seller and convenience to the buyer ... PayPal Standard is simply too burdensome for buyers and, in turn, too risky for sellers to rely on as a gateway. All that said, keep up the great work on this must-have plugin and I am very much looking forward to a PayPal Express Add-On or update to the current PayPal or PayPal Pro Add-Ons which include Express. Thanks.
