Pre-order questions

  1. Hi,

I am a newbe to WP and I am looking for a form plugin that will enable the following:

    1. Register users for a trial - I want users to receive an email with a link to confirm the email address. Once the email address is confirmed I would like an email to be sent to us so we can set the account up. I would like to display a page stating that a confirmation email has been sent.

    2. Quote - I would like another form that will ask users for numbers of servers and computers and then email them a quote based on some fixed costs. Once the form is submitted I want to display a page confirming that the quote has been emailed and providing them with extra information.

Tired all the free forms with no luck - hopefully this will do the trick?

    Regards
    Adam

  2. 1) Gravity Forms does not currently have email confirmation capabilities. So it wouldn't send an email and include a link for them to confirm that is is valid. This isn't something the plugin currently does. So you could do what you want to do, minus the email confirmation.

    2) Gravity Forms v1.5, which is currently a development release (but stable), does support simple quotes via Pricing Fields with total calculations, etc.

Gravity Forms also has a User Registration Add-On which is currently a development release also. It allows you to turn a form into a registration form. We do plan on implementing email verification in a future release of this Add-On.

  3. Hi Carl,

Thanks - I have purchased a multi-site license to start with. However I cannot get into the documentation. I would also like to be able to download version 1.5 or is that just available under the developer license?

    Thanks
    Adam

  4. Adam, you need to register on the forums with the same email address (paypal email) that you used when making the purchase. That's how the system knows to grant you the appropriate permissions to different areas of the support site.

You should be able to just edit your profile, change the email address and then see the appropriate member content. After you've verified that, you can change your email address back to whatever you prefer.
