pre-purchase questions

  1. I have a site where we create art based on the customer's photos. I need to create an order entry form where the customer can choose from style categories, submit comments for additional information, and upload their photo (or photos). An extra charge per uploaded photo over the 1st one needs to be calculated into the total due amount. Payment would also be required at this point (via PayPal).

Can Gravity forms accommodate these requirements?

Can you create a drop-down selector with small thumbnails?

I might also point out that I tried to access similar topics previously posted here, but as a person who hasn't purchased a license yet, most of the related information returned in search queries is locked out due to lack of permissions. I assume you know this, but it sure makes it hard for a potential customer to decide if your product is appropriate.

  2. Regarding the first & second paragraph, yes.

Regarding "drop-down selector with small thumbnails" I'm not sure I've ever seen that, so I am unsure if it can be done. Please share an example of functionality you're trying to recreate. You could certainly do it with radio buttons or check boxes, but I have not seen anything like that in a drop down select.

That's the point of the "pre-purchase questions" section that is open and available to everyone. You're welcome to ask whatever you like to help make sure the product is right for you.

  4. Not sure I've actually seen a drop-down list with thumbnails either, but I was just wondering if it could be done.

I'm trying to figure out how to allow the customer to choose an image from a group of images, or a slide show (if possible) that would be an example (for me) of how they would like their uploaded image to look stylistically. I would like to automate this function. I was thinking of a drop-down selector for style categories in the order entry area, but it would also be helpful if they could pick an actual image as an example. Any suggestions as to how to best do this?

I have an existing site (www.popartmagic.com) that attempted to do this (code written in php by an overseas web developer), but the actual transfer of client information and selections isn't being saved and/or transferred on to me. I'm attempting to recreate the site in WordPress and was directed to Gravity forms by a colleague.

  5. I think you could display the images as thumbnails with radio buttons or check boxes.

I did something like that here with images and radio buttons:
