Pre-sale questions: file uploads, progress bar

I'm looking to have a form on a website I'm building and want to know if GF offers the features I need:

    - File Upload to server, not file attachment in email
    - progress bar or any kind of indicator that it's working, for file uploads

    And possibly:

    - Selectable drop down in form for company contact which sends to the appropriate email address

Hope that gets across what I'm trying to do. Thanks.

  2. From a satisfied Gravity Forms user:

    1. Yes, it's built in.

    2. Not yet. See Carl's previous response here. Basically, there is none in PHP, but if they went to a Flash uploader, it would be possible. Can't find the Flash mentioned at the moment.

    3. Yes, it's called Routing and it's built in.

Thanks for the info, yeah I can't see the link you posted because apparently

"The product you have purchased does not give you access to this forum."

so I'm not sure... all I want is some kind of animation that tells users it's still working so that non-techies don't assume it's not working when uploading a 20mb+ file... it sounds like that might involve extra coding?

  4. @memphis - You can add a simple "progress bar" type animation pretty easily with a few lines of jQuery and some CSS. It should be fine for what you need. Here's a quick demo.

If you do decide to purchase, you can refer back to the following post for the how-to.

  5. Is the "file upload progress bar" in the Gravity Forms yet? We purchased but can't find it. We have files around 100MB being uploaded to us from customers, we use the Gravity Forms to do it, but you know customer --- they want to refresh the screen because they think the upload isn't happening. A "file upload progress bar" would be great for us. I saw mentions that it would be included in V1.5 and we're on V1.6.2. Is it here and I'm just not seeing it? Thanks.

This would be handy to include by default. I haven't used it yet (am now - which is why I'm hunting for how), but really if people are uploading files they should have an indication of how long is left.
