Pre-Sales Question for User Submitted Content

  1. Hi there!

Pre-sales question for you. I'm looking at possibly using gravity forms on a couple sites for user-submitted photos and content. Can you shed a little light on how that works? Will the content they submit via the form post as a draft in WP admin before it goes live, or does it get published immediately on the site? Thanks for the info!

  2. When creating a form in Gravity Forms you can add a variety of "Post" specific fields to your form.

    - Post Title
    - Post Body
    - Post Excerpt
    - Post Category
    - Post Image
    - Post Custom Field
    - Post Tags

Each of these have their own field options you can set. Post Title or Post Body are required in order for the others to be able to save their post data.

You can select if the post should be a Draft, Pending Review, or Published by editing the Post Title or Post Body fields. Both have these controls. You simply set what status the post that is created should have.

Post Images save with the post, however they are not inserted into the post. They are saved as gallery items and are then viewable in the admin when you review the post.

Post Custom Fields has options to enable you to show the field as free form text or textarea, from selectable values via radio buttons and drop downs, or fields that validate such as email and the date picker. Those are found in the field options when you add a Post Custom Field to your form.
