Pre-Select Name in Drop-Down List

  1. On my contact form I have a drop-down list of email recipients. Each name has a different email address. I want to pre-select a name in that drop-down list. For example, a link might say "Contact Bob" that would send the user to the form, and Bob's name would be pre-selected from the recipient drop-down.

Is this possible with "out of the box" gravity forms?

  2. Yes it's possible. It's not going to happen without a little work though. You can add a bit of code to your theme's functions.php to mark the item as selected when the query string (sent from the previous page) contains a certain name.

Once you purchase I can point you to more extensive examples in the forums (which cannot be read until you have purchased the plugin) and will be happy to write something up for you to make this happen.

Thanks, and please post any other questions you might have before buying.

I would like to do the same thing. Could you point me to an example?

  4. Hello Chris, I'm also interested in the links as well. Could you please pass them on.

    Thanks,
