Printing submitted form as-is (pre-purchase Q)

This topic did come up in another topic however I was not able to view it without a license.

I need the ability to have a fillable form on my site with the submit button emailing the form with original styling to another person instead of me exporting the data as a CSV. This way the person receiving the form can print out the completed form and create a hardcopy file.

    Thank for your help.

  2. You have complete control over the notification emails which go out, so you can craft your own layout so the emailed entry looks just like a printed form. Gravity Forms is not intended to work like that, but you can use it however you like, and you have access to all the submitted data.

The notifications are email to the administrator by default, and you can enter additional or alternate email addresses, but the email helper sends the data in its own special-looking format, and it does not look like a filled-in form. This is what a notification email looks like by default: http://minus.com/lbjCaqVt4HjSVG

If the user wants to see the data in printed form, would support be available if I needed guidance on setting it up?

  4. The user can see the data in printed form. The admin and user notifications include all the submitted information already. However, it is not going to look like a form. It is going to look like a summary of submitted information.

We can point you to the resources to style your notification to look like a form, if you like, but we won't be able to do the work for you. There are many snippets posted in the forums about crafting your own notification which we can point you to, but there is no one complete solution since every application is different.

  5. I'd be grateful if you would point to the resources you mentioned that will help us to style the notifications. Thanks so much!

  6. @Phillip, because you are a current license holder, please begin a new topic in the regular support forums and we will help you there.

We try not to perform actual support in the pre-purchase forum. Thank you.
