Product Sets Possible?

    Hi.

We want to migrate our shopping carts to wordpress type (phppurchase) and use gravityforms to customize the products.

I was wondering can gravity forms create complex products such as product sets? Basically our site is a poker supply shop. We sell poker chip sets that has to be customizable in a number of ways. If it's a 500 chip set, the options should show different colors/denominations (50c, $1, etc). The customer should select 500 pieces of any combination of these colors/denominations ) since it is a 500 piece set. The customer will not be able to continue if his order is not equal to 500 pieces.

Also, there should be customization allowed per chip, where the customer can input any 4 characters as Initials to be imprinted on the chips. These should be optional per chip denomination in order to customize the chip front and back. The customization should charge an extra amount for the whole set a setup fee and a per piece price increase. Example, if customer wants to customize with initials, he pays one time $25 setup fee, and $0.10 per chip additional.

Can something like this be done by gravity forms? If it can be done please show me an example. If it can be done I would definitely be getting a developer license since we have multiple poker supply shopping carts.

  2. @bangsters I'm not exactly sure how PHPurchase handles Adding or subtracting from the total price using Gravity Forms. The PHPurchase/Gravity Forms integration was done entirely by the guys at PHPurchase and we were not involved with the integration so I don't know how it works. You may want to ask Lee over at PHPurchase if the scenario you described will work with PHPurchase.

As far as Gravity Forms goes you should be able to show/hide fields based on user selections and have them make the selections... i'm just not sure how the integration works to give you a definitive answer on the PHPurchase side of things.
