Register User not working when "Register user only when a payment is received"

  1. We have a form setup which collect payment from paypal and upon accepting payment should register user. When we have "Register user only when a payment is received." checked as an option our users are NOT getting registered.

We know the payment is completed for multiple reasons:
-We can see in our paypal account that the payment has cleared
-In our dashboard our form shows "Approved"

Any idea what may be causing this error?

Right now were in between a rock and a hard place because our only option is to leave it unchecked so we can accepts users.

Thanks for any help you may have

  2. We haven't had reports of issues with this and if the Entry has been marked Approved (rather than Processing) then the user should have been registered. Can you send us over a WordPress admin login for the site in question to us via our Contact Us form so we can take a look at how you have things configured?

Hi, I have the same problem. Using production paypal, payment definitely completed, returns to website okay but user not registered and no notification emails are being sent.

I assume the answer to Eric's problem was via email. Any chance of finding out the solution?

    Cheers,
    Rob.

Hi, solved my problem thought it may be helpful to share.

I had created my website but the Zone file for my domain had not spread throughout the interweb. So for some strange reason because of my hosts file entry the paypal account found my IPN website address okay, but when using it for real the response from paypal wasn't actually being sent to the website hence no registration, etc.

    Cheers,
    Rob.
