    I am trying to use GF with the User Registration Add On to capture data about a user - does this data get saved to the wordpress table anywhere so we can access it? I know meta data extra fields is not visible in the user control panel but is it at least saved in the wordpress table for use?

    Yes, any data you save using User Meta with the User Registration Add-On gets saved in the user meta table. It isn't automatically displayed, it's more advanced functionality so you'd have to have a plugin or custom code that displays it, but it does get stored if you configure your form to do so.
