Registration Implementation

  1. Hi,

We're considering buying the developers license for the registration feature but I have a couple of questions.

We've currently got a gravity form set up that redirects the information to a payment page and fills out the payment information. Is it possible to also get this form to register a WordPress account, or would this have to be done via two separate forms? We'd like users to fill out their information to buy a product, but then take this information to give them an account to buy in the future too.

Also can we have the custom fields adding the information to their WordPress account? (address etc.).

Any help with this would be great. We're just a bit worried about spending the money and then not being able to do what we need.

    Thanks

  2. You can combine registration and payment in one form.

You can collect additional information in custom fields and map them to profile fields. However, those will not be displayed on the user's profile unless you customize their profile. Here is an explanation from Justin Tadlock of one way to do it: http://justintadlock.com/archives/2009/09/10/adding-and-using-custom-user-profile-fields

There are other explanations online as well.
