Select a type which puts them in a certain role

  1. Is it possible from a form to have a drop down that depending on selection would put them in different roles? Example. Drop down Wholesale | Retail. The wholesale would be assigned that role, while the retail would get the retail role. How would I do that. I do have a working fom for a single role.

  2. Currently this is not possible with the current release of the User Registration Add-On. However, we are working on an update that will make this possible.

What you will have to do is create multiple User Registration feeds for the same form. Then use the Registration Condition (last option on the feed settings) to determine if it should run or not.

The current public release only allows one feed per form which won't let you do the above. We will be releasing an update soon that will allow you to do this by creating multiple feeds per form and then based on the Registration Condition it executes the one that matches.

  4. Yes, this is a feature of the User Registration add-on. You can create multiple feeds per form and then use the checkbox "Enable Registration Condition" to determine which feed is executed based on choices made in the form.

  6. I have one form that is a yearly signup form. Some people will use it to create a new account if they don't have one, and others who already have an account wil use it to update their information.

So that is why I want to know if i can create user and update user with one registration form.

    thanks.

  7. No, you would need two forms: one to register and one to update the information. You will need to use the 1.5 beta version of the User Registration add-on to have access to the "update user" functions.
