Send all entries to mailchimp

  1. Hi,

A client would like to add all form entries to their list in MailChimp, including those who have not opted in to receive further marketing messages.

Currently I have their form set to disable the MailChimp double opt-in and to only send across entries where the user has ticked to receive further marketing. If I send across all entries, is there a way to tell MailChimp which entries have subscribed to the list, and which haven't (maybe unsubscribe automatically?)

    Many thanks,
    Jon

  2. You would have to send their email preference to Mailchimp as well. Create a merge field in Mailchimp, maybe call it "email opt-in" and then map your checkbox field (where the visitor opts-in to your newsletter) to this Mailchimp field. That way, the visitor will be added to the list with the value of "email opt-in" set to yes or no. Then it's up to you to not send to those people who match the "not opted in" group.
