Signature Not Working With Opera

I gave my form a try using opera (latest windows opera version, latest wordpress version, latest Gravity Forms version).

The signature box is displayed and you can move the cursor around as if signing, but it seems to me to be using invisible ink! Even though you can't see what your signing - the form passes validation for required field - so there it thinks something is there - you just cant see it.

(I incorrectly raised this in the ie9 signature bug post so please delete that one as it is a duplicate).

  2. As we mentioned in the other post, we're working with the signature developer to resolve the IE9 issue. I'm not sure if the new release will work in Opera or not, but we don't officially support Opera so it's not going to be a high priority for us. We'll check it out and If we can get it to work properly then of course we will.

Do you have a URL to your form that I can check out?

    Hi Kevin,

My form at https://www.gymbaroo.net.au/hills/Class-Bookings is where I noticed the Opera problem.

To be honest I wasn't overly interested in opera until I found it is ranked 4th (above Safari) in a top 10 internet browser survey. It has some 200 million users apparently and is the second oldest still around today.

  4. Okay, we'll look into it, but as I mentioned before, we're not officially supporting Opera. I'm sure there's a decent following but it's not something that's high on our list.

No prob - understand it isn't supported by you guys.

After some more poking around I discovered it will work under opera using the Wordpress Twenty Ten theme (but not Twenty Eleven)

The Ie9 problem with signature is also NOT present using the twenty ten theme on my setup.
There must be something common in my theme (and common to Fred's theme and wordpress's twenty eleven) that makes the plugin misbehave with these browsers.

In fact whatever the difference is between the twenty ten and twenty eleven themes seems to break the plugin in both ie9 (drawing the extra line) and Opera (invisible ink). Do you guys have access to those themes to see / recreate it ?

I have been provided with an updated version of the plugin which now allows signing in PC Opera browsers.
