Source / Text Mode for Form Editing

  1. The user interface for editing forms is really nice, but as far as I can tell, you can only move one item at a time. From a developer's standpoint, it would be awesome if I could switch to some sort of 'Source' mode where I could cut copy and paste form fields without having to drag them individually.

Is there a way to do this? Am I missing an option for selecting multiple form elements?

    Thanks!

  2. You're not missing an options - it's not currently possible. The form builder interface is on track to be updated in a future version.

You can export the form as XML and then cut and paste [in a text editor] to achieve the same result. But there is way to do what you describe presently.

  3. Looking forward to that update! Cut and paste in XML sounds like a workable solution in the interim, thanks!

Has cut and paste ability been added yet? It would really help save a lot of time and effort for current project.

    Thanks for your timely response.

What Chris was talking about was editing the XML in Notepad or similar programs. And using Cut and Paste in there to do what you want before importing the new form XML back into Gravity Forms.
