Translation options

Would like to request the possibility to use localisation options for the
    Normal Name Format.
    For example:
    First would be Voornaam (Dutch)
    Last would be Achternaam (Dutch)
In that case I can Gravityforms generate personalized mails.

Also it would be great to be able to translate the button 'Submit'.

    Hello Schuur,

I translated the plugin to dutch. So you can have my translationfiles if you want. Just contact me on jekrikken at gmail dot com and I'll send them over.

You can also download Poedit and make some adjustments to the translation.

    Another thing:

You can change your submit button in the Advanced panel of your form. So if you use the form for ordering a product you can change the Submit button text to Order (Bestellen). If it's just a regular contact form you can change the submit button to Send or Verzenden.

    Thanks Jan Egbert,

In the mean time version 1.01 is ready and next week version 1.1 will be released. Does this mean the files have to be translated everytime in Dutch?

Also, are you going to translate version 1.1? If so, I'll wait ;-)

  5. Schuur: Verion 1.01 does not add any text that needs to be translated. However, Version 1.1 does add some new strings and will require the translation file to be updated. What this means is that when you run Version 1.1 with a translation file that isn't up to date, the new strings will appear in english until the translation files have been updated. The rest of the translation file will work fine.

    Hello Carl and Schuur,

My 1.01 translation is finished now. Some strings still don't get translated on the front end.

    • List of countries (I did translate the list of countries, but I'm still wondering how smart this is)
    • Prefix
    • First
    • Last
    • Suffix
    • First
    • Last
    • Street
    • Address
    • Address Line 2
    • City
    • State / Province
    • Zip / Postal Code
    • Country
    • Edit
    • Entry Date (back end)
    • User IP (back end)

  7. Jan,
Version 1.0 and 1.0.1 have a small problem in the localization of the front end. That is the reason you don's see the translated strings. Version 1.1 will address that problem. Thanks for taking the time and translating it. We will include this file in the next release. Would you mind sending over the PO file as well. I would like to include it in the release as well.
    Thanks again.

The file above is the most recent version. So you can just download that. I also sent it to Carl earlier this week.

Thanks for explaining the issue with front end strings not being translated.
