Update & Support 1 year... and then?

    Hi,

    i couldn't find any information about what happens when then 1 year support agreement ends? What's the fee to buy another year of support and updates?

    After 1 year if you want to continue receiving support access and updates you will need to renew your license. Renewals aren't currently available as nobody will require a renewal until May of next year. We will launch a renewal system at the beginning of next year.

    Renewals will be at 25-50% off the full price depending on which license you own.

    Hm ok, even if i don't need it yet it's still interested how much i do have to pay. I find 200$ is quite a fair price for the developer licence but renewing it for 100$ or more every year makes the stuff quite expensive. That's why the renewal price is still interesting even though there's no one needing it now.

    Does the renewal apply even to those who purchased before the 1 year policy came into effect? When I purchased there was nothing said about a 1 year term and my understanding was I had lifetime updates and support.

    I do understand the why, just want to be clear on how I am affected. also, as with others asking the same: how much will a renewal cost?

    No worries. If you purchased before the licensing terms changed, you still have lifetime access to support & upgrades.

    I noticed that on 8/16/2010 Carl Hancock said a renewal system would be implemented at the turn of the year before anyone needed to renew. I purchased my Developer's licensed this past June, but am working on my budget for the coming year and was looking for the renewal system so I could see what the cost would be but didn't see it anywhere. Is this only available once you need to renew? Any way to determine what the renewal costs will be?

    The renewal system is in place and has been in place since the beginning of the year.

    Your license can be renewed from the My Account page of the support site, as well as on the Settings page of Gravity Forms in your WordPress admin.

    The Developer License is 50% off the new price of $199 to renew. So it's $99.50 to renew.
