User Generated Content Notifications

    Considering purchasing Gravity Forms mainly to use as a way to get some user generated posts on our site. We'd like for every submitted post to have to be approved before it goes live and then an email notification sent to the user once their post is approved and live.

    Something similar was discussed here: http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/content-submission-with-notification-after-moderation But I didnt want to bump up an old thread.

    As I understand it right now, you are still only able to send out notifications after a post has been submitted and there is no way for an automatic notification to go out after the status has been changed to approved.

    This feature is a must have for us, so if it isn't currently possible to do I was wondering if it is possible to have some kind of add-on or extension made to give us this functionality? If so, do you guys have any recommendations for anyone that we can hire to code this for us?

    You can select Draft, Published or Pending for the status of a visitor submitted post. The notification to the user goes out when Gravity Forms received the form submission. The post has been created: it just do not have a status of Published yet, in some cases.

    There are WordPress plugins which will notify users when a post status has changed. I think you need something like that. Here's one:

    There are others as well. It's possible, but the functionality will not come from Gravity Forms.
