User handle ads?

  1. Hi!
I have read a lot now on your site but I still don't understand if we will be able to do want we are after. We handle user ads. They should them self be able to create, edit and delete them. The user registration shall be done a the same time they create their first ad.

    1. A visitor comes to our site
    2. He is asked to fill out a form
    3. Submitting will create the user, have him logged in and create the post
    4. Will logged in he shall see his post and be able to edit them

The posts are a custom post type. Will we be able to do this?
We are not a web company, this is our only site.
    Thank you!

  2. Front end editing is not a feature of Gravity Forms. It's being considered for version 1.7. 1.6 should be out today.

However, you can combine Gravity Forms with the 3rd party Directory and Add-ons add on, to display submitted entries on the front end. It's not editing posts, but it's something.

The plugin can be found here:

Also, another user has posted recently that he is working on front end editing. You won't be able to read the post, but here is his contact information:

    Thank you.

  4. I haven't seen an update from Kevin on this. As mentioned by Chris, this is a one of the things we plan on focusing on with the 1.7 release.

  5. I got an email from Kevin that the plugin got postpone further. I would be great to have the functionality inside Gravity. Our project so dependent on this, since we planned for it. How do I get as good overview of the 1.7 release as possible? When it comes to release date and what it will include?
    Thank you Carl!

  6. We are currently working on Gravity Forms Add-Ons and the new Gravity Charge product. Development on 1.7 has not begun yet so I can't give you any kind of ETA or feature list until we begin development.

Hi Carl, I'm also interested in front end editing as I have come back to Gravity today (purchased a new dev license) and planning to attempt to create a listing site where people pay to list their rental properties.

Achieving that seems to be a lot easier now with some of the great strides you've made with GF over the past couple of years.

But, my members must be able to edit their listings (posts) and pay to renew for another year if they wish.

This is of course outside the scope and capabilities of GF, so the only solution I can think of which will enable this, other than recurring billing through Paypal, is to use aMember.

This last part brings me on to Gravity Charge, which I *think* may help me with my proposed site.

I'm basically trying to use GF and possibly aMember, to run a listing site similar to the Classipress Theme by AppThemes.

Why not use AppThemes you may ask? Well, because it has some serious flaws and instead of improving their flagship product they are releasing other themes.
