User posts: Tags, Content as title and redirects

Hi! I'm using TDOMF for user post creation and think about switching to gravity forms. TDOMF has some handy features (although buggy) and I'd like to know if these are available for gravity forms as well.

    1. Can post tags be set as required? (User has to give at least one tag)
    2. Can post title be set as NOT required? (Don't show to users)
    3. Can the first X words of the post content automatically set to be the post title?
    4. What exactly happens when a form is submitted and the post is publshed? Do users get redirected to the newly generated post?
    5. Are there any known issues with CubePoints, as in not giving points to users when creating forms with gravity forms?

Thnaks in advance for answering my questions!

  2. 1. Can post tags be set as required? (User has to give at least one tag)

Yes, you can make that field required to allow something be entered there.

    2. Can post title be set as NOT required? (Don't show to users)

Yes, you can mark it as hidden and not required and you can still submit the form.

    3. Can the first X words of the post content automatically set to be the post title?

Yes, this can be accomplished with a hook. The hooks are all documented.

    4. What exactly happens when a form is submitted and the post is publshed? Do users get redirected to the newly generated post?

They do not, by default, but you can redirect them if you want to. I wrote up and explanation of how to do this recently. Registered users have access to the forums after purchase, and you will find it explained there.

    5. Are there any known issues with CubePoints, as in not giving points to users when creating forms with gravity forms?

I have not heard of any issues. One other person inquired about CubeCoints, but there is nothing built in to Gravity Forms that would either allow or prevent integration. I've never seen CubePoints though, so I'm unsure of what would need to happen to integrate the two.
