User Registration AddOn

My question is in regards to the User registration add on with the developer license. If I use this to register users on my site - is there a way to email all users on my site ad hoc? My site will be for online auctions selling cars and I'm looking for a way to email the registered dealers on my site whenever a new vehicle is listed for bidding. Any suggestions?

  2. The ability to email all registered users on your site will not be handled by Gravity Forms and has nothing to do with the User Registration add-on. There are existing WordPress plugins which will take care of it for you. Here is one:

Here is a Google search with links to some other ones:

Thanks for your reply Chris. It makes sense that your plugin wouldn't handle - but thought I would ask anyway.

One other question for you. Since my site will be used to list vehicles for sale - and dealers would fill out a form to send me the information - is there a way to look up how many submissions a particular dealer has entered? Here is my example.

One of the form fields is called Dealer Name. I charge a $10 listing fee for a vehicle - but would like to implement a "List 10 vehlcles for sale, get one listing for free" scenario. However, in order to do this of course - I need to be able to look up by Dealer Name (Or any other form field) and see how many submissions they have made - so I know when the next listing is free for them.

    Any thoughts?

  4. There is a rudimentary search function in the entries, so you could search by dealer name or other identifying information, and see how many entries there are with that text present. If other entries contain that same information though, in another field maybe, then this will not give you good results. By that I mean if you are searching for "Anderson Ford", maybe there is a dealer who in their ad said "See Anderson Ford first then come see us!" Searching for Anderson Ford would bring up the user Anderson Ford and also the other entry where Anderson Ford was used in the copy. There are other scenarios where that could occur as well.

You could search, then sort the entries by clicking on the dealer name header to sort them. That might help.

If neither of those work, you could create a small reporting function to return the number of ads (entries) created by a dealer (all dealers.) You could display the date and their payment status, so you could see how many ads have been placed and if they were paid or free ads. Then you could give them a free one.

After you make your purchase, I'd be happy to help you with this further.

Thanks Chris. The reviews online have been amazing for Gravity Forms - along with the support. I just purchased the Business license now. Since I purchased this now - are you able to assist with this idea of a small reporting function?
