Username min characters? Am I missing something simple?

    It seems that when you register a user using the stock WP form, a username of at least 6 characters is needed. But it appears possible to register a user with a 2-3 character username using Gravity Forms. Did I miss something? Should I even be worried about it? Just trying to be consistent here and avoid as many possible hiccups before this site goes live....otherwise, everything seems to be working great....thanks guys. rp

    Hi Ross,

    When you say "stock WP form" are you referring to the "/wp-login.php?action=register" form? If so, there may be another plugin forcing this limitation. I was able to register a 3 letter username without issue from this default WP form.

    Either way, I don't foresee you having any issues with usernames shorter than 6 characters. :)
