Using Unlicensed Gravity Forms

    I am evaluating Gravity Forms by testing with the downloaded software, but without a license. I see that it is licensed under the GNU general public license. So I assume that it is ok to use an unlicensed copy, provided that I comply with the GNU GPL terms.

    I am a developer with 40+ years experience and I am ethically opposed to using software illegally. If I deploy the software for any commercial use, I will certainly purchase a license. I just wanted to verify that I can use it for testing and evaluation.

    It looks like a solid product, and I am very impressed with what I have seen so far.

    We don't distribute Gravity Forms for people to use, and as such, I'm worried that you might have received a copy that might include issues or customizations that we don't currently have in our latest stable release. But at the end of the day, we can't and don't stop people from doing what you've laid out in your post. We hope that you will purchase a license if you intend on using Gravity Forms for an active project.
