I was thinking that maybe it might be helpful for the GF team to see what it's users most want. This could be accomplished by having the feature list in a format that the users could cast votes for them.
Anybody think that would be a good idea?

I second this request. I was tempted to cast my +1 on several feature requests, but I held back, since I wasn't sure if this is really the way to go. A real counter would probably be a good idea, though there should still be enough room for the discussion of feature requests.
