Will gravity forms solve this order form with visuals problem?

  1. Hi folks,

I need to create a wholesale order form that can tabulate a running total and send an invoice to me and the client (but no need to bill them at that point, we'll do that later). The trick is, I need it to be able to integrate well with images and descriptions of our products. Here is a very rough picture of what I need to achieve: http://www.mattdotcom.com/wp-content/uploads/order-form-rough.jpg

I cannot figure out, based on the sales pitches of the order form capabilities of Gravity forms, whether this would actually be possible (or, for that matter, what most of the forms actually LOOK like on a site - is there a "gallery" section??)

I need to find a solution to this problem ASAP - is Gravity Forms my solution?

    Thanks,

    Matt

  2. Gravity Forms can do this. You can add HTML blocks to your form, so you can create this. You will need to do some CSS work to pull it off, and I'm not sure how many items like this you're talking about. If it's a substantial number of items, doing it manually with Gravity Forms is going to take you a while.

There is no gallery of forms. It's a good idea and has been suggested before.

  3. Hi Chris,

thanks for the reply. Yes, it is a LOT of items, but I have not found a better solution thusfar that wouldn't also take quite a bit of time. Is there anything else, in good faith, you suggest?

  5. About 70 products...

  6. Gravity Forms does not have any sort of import to create new forms or form fields. So, you will be doing this by hand. If they're largely similar, it won't be too bad to copy and paste.

70 products on one form might tax the resources of the server or the client browser. There is no limitation in Gravity Forms though, in either the form builder or when rendering and processing the form.

I'm inclined to say it can be done. It will require some CSS and HTML work to get it looking good, but it can be done.

    And other questions about implementation?
