Will not install

  1. I've tried several times and a few different things have happened.

I have checked to make sure I'm using the right version of PHP on my server.

When I download the file to my Mac it is actually not zipped. I have to zip it. Could this be the problem?

When I try to upload it:
    - one time it said it uploaded but failed to activate.
    - deleted file and tried to reinstall and now it just sits there as if it's trying but no error or anything.

    What else should I do?

  2. The WP installer usually chokes on the default mac zip files. That's probably your issue.

My suggestion, is either to download the file with Firefox or another browser that won't unzip it automatically or uncheck the "open safe files automatically" option in the Safari preferneces so it won't unzip the file.

If you do need to re-zip the file up, use something like the zip utility in Stuffit expander to create the new zip and that should work for you.

Let me know how it goes.

  3. Those were perfect instructions!! I actually downloaded it with my PC and saved it to the network drive. Then I uploaded the zip that way. Uploaded just as it should.

    Thanks for the quick response!!
