WP 3.3, Gravity Forms and TinyMCE

    Hi there,
I've been using Gravity Forms for a little while now, and whilst it's absolutely awesome one feature it's really missing is some kind of Rich Text editor for inputs. I've tried both the instructions for TinyMCE and CKEditor, and whilst I've got them to work(ish), neither are really 100% compatible (For example, both Tiny and CK add '<p>' numerous times in the entries, often breaking the submissions).
Question I have though - now that WP3.3 is here (today!), any idea when you guys will have a new beta out that will utilize the API for the Wordpress TinyMCE, mentioned here: http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/a-visual-editor-in-gravity-forms#post-37742
    Cheers!

Lol I'd given up on this question, glad to see someone agrees though!
Looking back through past customer posts, it's clear that this is a feature that a good many people want, and it is one of the more basic features that any forms system should provide - The lack of such a feature and the murky eta is what's held me back from upgrading to the developer license, so I do hope they get to it soon!
    Merry Christmas to all!

  4. The rich text editor is coming first to the notification interface and will be added to the front end after that. Now that WordPress 3.3 is out, this has become possible without adding additional libraries. Look for this in the next release.

Glad to hear that you are working on this feature.
For quite a while, I am waiting for this now and would be highly interested in any beta version to prepare for smooth migration of my sites.

  8. There is no update on this. We just released Gravity Forms v1.6.3 which introduced the WordPress editor API on the Notifications settings.

We will be adding support for the editor API in additional places in Gravity Forms down the road. Adding it as an option to the Paragraph Field for use on the front end is on our internal development roadmap, but that is the best I can tell you.

Until it's actively in development, any timeline I give you is going to be a guess and I don't want to set expectations based on guesswork.
