1.6 Release - minor ui bugs

    Hi Guys,

It would seam that between rc5 and the actual release one or two ui elements have inadvertently been adjusted.

1 - In the view entry screen the 'edit' button is floating up and slightly covering the 'mark as spam' button
2 - In the edit entry screen the 'update' and 'cancel' buttons are floating up and slightly covering the 'move to trash' and 'mark as spam' buttons
3 - In the form editor when you scroll down the page the 'standard fields' tab is floating up under the admin bar, only the padding under the label is visible below the admin bar.

    Edit:-
I have checked all three issues in a couple of browsers
Chrome 15 experiences all 3 issues
Firefox 6 experiences all 3 issues
    IE9 only experiences issue 3
Safari 5 only experiences issue 3

  2. I can't replicate the first two issues in any browser that I tested.. on 2 different machines.

Here are a few of my tests on the entry detail and edit entry screens.

    entry detail - firefox: http://bit.ly/svyTjC
    entry detail - chrome: http://bit.ly/vhym5G
    entry detail - safari: http://bit.ly/v5raEk

    edit entry - firefox: http://bit.ly/rQx9ww
    edit entry - chrome: http://bit.ly/tMGAxO
    edit entry - safari: http://bit.ly/urNQAt

I don't consider the third option to be a bug of any sort, the admin bar is optional and the first panel defaults to expanded so even if it is overlapped somewhat by the admin bar, the buttons are still accessible. For now, you can simply disable the admin bar in the admin section via the user preferences page.

That said, I'll be happy to look into it and see what we can do to improve that for the next release.

    Hi Kevin,

Thanks for taking a look, it must be an issue on my computer, never mind. As for the third issue I have to say I forgot that the admin bar could be disabled it's that long ago since I have even looked at the user preferences page, that said it doesn't really bother me, I just thought it may be something you might want to look at for a future release.

Any way keep up the good work, I have to say the list field was the feature I was most looking forward to seeing, I have a couple of ideas running round my head as to how I could improve a couple of existing forms using it.

  5. @richardvav,

No worries. Honestly, I always disable the admin bar right away and sometimes forget that it defaults to on. It's a good idea to take that into account and if possible, reposition everything accordingly. I do really appreciate the suggestion.
