2 notifications received for every form

  1. I am receiving two email notifications for every form submitted. This is to an address that is blind copied. The same email address is not in the routing list. I have just included myself on the emails whilst my client ensures they are happy with the product.

    Any ideas on why this would be the case?

  2. Typically this is due to a plugin conflict. Common culprits are Facebook connect plugins or social sharing plugins, as they process the content multiple times, and multiple notifications are sent with that.

    You can take an educated guess and disable any plugin like that (Share and Follow or Facebook Connect) and see if the duplicate notifications are still sent. If not, you will need to go with brute force and test completely for theme and plugin conflicts.

    One other thing that can cause problems with notifications are caching plugins. That usually causes missing notifications or entries, not duplicates though.
