A common.php "modify property of non-object" error

  1. Hello, I've searched for this before, but to no avail.

In a website we do for a client, we get this error (with GF 1.6.1) - Warning: Attempt to modify property of non-object in /var/www/g25995/atsync.nl/HTML/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/common.php on line 1275.

It's not only that line, there's several of them but it is the same error.

We've tried several solutions, like resetting FTP permissions of that folder, updating the plugin (it was on 1.5.8 before) and reinstalling it.

It should be noted that WordPress states this error as a warning, the plugin seems to work, BUT it shouldn't show it, as WP_Debug is turned off. Plus, the client also works in this environment so this warning isn't something we want to show.

Any idea what this problem is and how to solve it?

  2. I have not seen this problem before, but it is related to our automatic upgrade functionality. By looking at the error and our code, it seems to be caused by a problem with your WordPress installation/configuration, but it is hard to tell without digging a little deeper.
I will be glad to take a closer look if you can send me an FTP and WP admin login to alex@rocketgenius.com.
