Add-On brower is currently unavailable. Please try again later.

  1. I am trying to install the mailchimp add-on but keep getting this message "Add-On brower is currently unavailable. Please try again later." everytime I navigate to "Add-ons" link under forms. I've deactivated all my plugins except gravity forms and I've changed over to the "twenty-twelve" theme and tried the link and still get that message.

I have another site with Gravity Forms on it as well and it works fine on that site.

    Any ideas?

The site is currently in development and can be found here http://server7.websitehostserver.net/~goodpeop/

  2. Are the sites on different servers? Maybe there is something in the host configuration which is preventing communication with the add-on browser.

You can always download and install the plugin manually on this page if you are not concerned with fixing the functionality on this server or installation: http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/add-ons/

  3. Same hosting provider, different servers. I can't get updates either. I'll install the add-on for now but would like to get it fixed. Any suggestions where to look?

  4. I'm not sure what could be preventing it on the one server. Are both versions of Gravity Forms up to date, and the license key is valid?

  5. The copy that works is on my VPS. The copy that doesn't is on shared hosting space. The one I'm having trouble with is not current and I can't get it to upgrade. I hold a valid business license.

  6. Please download a copy of the latest Gravity Forms from here http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/

Delete the wp-content/plugins/gravityforms folder from the server, then install this version manually. Removing the plugin files like this will not affect your entries or your forms.

Sounds like there is something on the shared host preventing your site from communicating with the Gravity Forms license server or add-on browser. I'm not sure what that is, but it looks like it's not notifying you of updated Gravity Forms versions either.

Please try the manual installation and see if the add-on browser works at that point. If not, we will need to get access to logs or the host's support personnel to figure out where the communication is breaking down.

  7. Ok, installed the latest version per your instructions. No luck. The Add-ons browser is still not working. Let me know what information you need and I'll be glad to get it to you. I appreciate your helping me with this.

  8. I realized I may have confused things by saying "ok" at the beginning of my last post, then again you may be busy, which is understandable. But just in case, This is still not working for me.

    Thanks again.

  9. There is not normally any support from 6pm Friday until 8am Monday.

The add-on browser is working properly on all my sites, so it's something in the communication between this server and the add-on browser. I would activate WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php and see if there are any warnings or notices being output. Maybe that will point to the communication problem.

  10. I saw the hours after posting that. Feel pretty dumb. I turned on WP-DEBUG and got the following.

    Notice: automatic_feed_links is deprecated since version 3.0! Use add_theme_support( 'automatic-feed-links' ) instead. in /home/goodpeop/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2824

Notice: has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0! Usage of user levels by plugins and themes is deprecated. Use roles and capabilities instead. in /home/goodpeop/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2908

The interesting thing is I move the entire site over to my VPS and it works fine and the WordPress installation is fresh.

If you have any ideas let me know. I'm going to keep plugging away at it.

  11. Those notices are not a big deal and are not creating your trouble. They're actually from WordPress core I think, not Gravity Forms.

There must be something different about the two machines. If WP_DEBUG is not helping, are there any other PHP or Apache or security or firewall logs which might help?

I'm glad it was just a glitch in the Internet and that things are working again. Let us know if it happens again.

  15. I've recently installed a copy of GF (developers edition) in a canvas 5.15 environment. Just purchased an add-on for integrating GF and WooCommerce.

I too am now presented with the identical alert as mentioned above. (Add-On browser is currently unavailable. Please try again later.)

    Any help?

fyi: no forms yet created, as once the add-on has been activated, I'll be creating form pages for products use/integration

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

    ed. Using GF v. 1.6.12
    Canvas 5.15
    WP 3.5.1

Also, I notice that although I've got a green-Check on my settings page:
    http://d.pr/i/9ZUw

on the plugins tab, it's showin a request to 'register' my GF

  16. Same issue as above except GF has been installed and working on the site in question for over a year. The site in question is hosted at GoDaddy. Other sites that use GF are fine (hostgator, bluehost)

  17. The add-on browser is functional. I just checked on a couple of my sites. If your site cannot connect to the add-on browser server, you will get this error. It can also happen if there is slow network traffic between the two machines.

Your forms will continue to function normally. If you would like the add-on immediately, you can download it from here: http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/add-ons/ and install like any other WordPress plugin at that point.

I would check with the host to see if there are any logs which log the outbound network access to see why this connection might be failing.

  18. Add-on bowser is fine today. Got the add-on I needed no problems. Slow network traffic most likely.
    Thanks!!
