Add-Ons won't install

    Hello,

I have purchased the developers licence for the latest edition of Gravity Forms and have installed the upgrade and put the licence code in the settings, however when I go to install the Add-Ons, enter in ftp details etc from within my Wordpress backend, it says goes through the upload process then says "Install package not available".

I've had problems already today where I installed the zip file of the upgrade and it crashed my website saying it was missing a 'widget.php' even though the file was in the zipped up package.

I had to ftp uninstalled and re-installed to get my website back.

I bought the developers licence specifically for the mailchimp & paypal compatibility and now it's telling me there's no package available to install.

    Please help.

  2. Both issues sound like a WordPress installation problem. Try uploading the files via a regular ftp client rather than using the built-in WordPress uploader.

I uploaded the whole zip package that I downloaded when I bought the licence, how do I activate the add-ons via ftp?

  4. you would unzip the files then upload the folders to the wp-content/plugins directory just like you would other plugins. Once you've uploaded the files, you would go to the plugins page in the WordPress admin and activate them.

Hmmm, that was all done when we originally uploaded all the files via ftp. But in the plugins page the only thing to activate is Gravity Forms which I have already activated, no mention of the add-ons.

  8. Hi Sophie,

I would try doing the following:

    1. Uninstall Gravity Forms and any GF Add-ons you also have installed
    2. Download fresh copies of and any GF Addons you are interested in.
    3. Attempt to load the new zips through the WordPress admin plugin installer.
    4. If this fails, unzip the files and upload Gravity Forms and the Add-ons via FTP.
    5. If this fails, send me a login to your WP admin and FTP and I will see what might be causing the issue.

  9. I am having the same issue. Where do I find the addons to download? I think my file permissions may be preventing the automatic download. Can you direct me to which files permissions should be changed?

  10. Hi Amy, the add-ons are here.

You should be able to install them like any other plugin and then you will get notices to auto-update when new versions are released.

I'm not sure what you mean about the file permissions.. all you should need is permissions to add/activate plugins on your site and you should be good to go. If you can't access the downloads page for some reason, let us know. Your license should give you access to that.
