Add Product via frontend using Gravity Forms?

  1. I have pre-sale question regarding Gravity Forms.

I'm (in the process of running) an Etsy Clone site. Artists should be able to set up their store fronts on my site and consumers can directly buy from there,
I'm using 'Product Vendor' by Matt Gates (mgates.me) - that helps, but it still means that the artist will have to access the backend to upload their stuff. The backend can be simplified by removing unneeded and unnecessary stuff, but backend is still a backend, and no replacement for an easy-to-use idiot proof frontend.
So, essentially, I want artists (vendors) to add their product on my site using a frontend utilizing my wordpress theme.

Can I use Gravity for this?

Edit: This is essentially what I'm trying to replicate: http://i.imgur.com/R4GBX60.jpg

Gravity Forms can create a WordPress post, but beyond that, it can't add data to a product database without custom coding. Have you checked out our demos at http://gravityforms.com/demo ?

  3. Thanks for the quick reply, David! I did, it felt daunting (I'm not a coder), so I thought I'll ask the forums for help. This is what I'm trying to replicate: http://i.imgur.com/R4GBX60.jpg

  5. Chris, I will. I just need to confirm that this is possible with Gravity Forms.

You can create a form that would collect all that information. Check out our demos at http://gravityforms.com/demo
