Address field, change State to 2 letter abbreviation?

    Hi,
    For the advanced field of Address the value of States is the full word. We are trying to connect to an API for donortools.com and to match users we need to have states be the 2 letter all cap abbreviation. Is there a way to alter this State field to be 2 letter value?

    Noob (me) answer: looking in the common.php file it looks like it uses the two-letter code when sending the data. Or are you having trouble connecting because it's NOT, in fact, using that two-letter code?

    If you want to have it be a two letter abbreviation, you'll have to create the dropdown yourself instead of using our complex Address field field-type. All my best!

    We (well my api developer/coder) found and implemented this so now we can use the complex address field with the Donor Tools api which requires the state 2 letter abbreviation.
