admin notification doesn't contain email from form

  1. Hi there,

I am having trouble with 2 out of my 3 forms.

Basically when someone submits a form.. I get an email from my own email address (which I use for the user notification) instead of it being from the email field on the form (from the customer).

As I said it only affects 2 out of the 3 form I have.

I have duplicated one of the forms from another however I then went through this new duplicated form and duplicated the fields (and deleted the originals) to give each of them a new field id

Here are the 2 forms with problems

any help would be much appreciated :)

Are you using a SMTP plugin? Are you using any plugins for e-mail in WordPress? Gravity Forms uses WordPress' built-in PHP sendmail script (wp-mail.php) to send notifications.

  5. Hi David,

Thanks for getting back to me.. sorry for the late reply I was not emailed when you posted.

The only other email plugin I'm using is Contact form 7

I will deactivate this and uninstall it and see if this makes a difference

Its strange as 1 out of my 3 forms is working fine and I receive an email from the users email address no problem.

The other thing is there is no user notification email now as well from the other 2 forms

    Many thanks

    Ewan

  8. I have just checked the entries on the admin side and they seem to be storing the emails correctly but just not sending user notifications or correctly emailing the form from the user.

is there anything which I can reset in terms of email or php send mail?

    cheers

  9. Hi there,

    Is anyone available to reply?

I posted over a week ago

I recently created a new form for my contact page and this one seems to be working fine. Submissions are from the customers email address and they also receive a notification email from me.

    Regards

    Ewan

    Still nothing???

It's been 3 weeks since my original post

I'm glad I renewed my annual support

The forms are still being sent from the wrong email address

  11. Try deleting that notification for the form that doesn't work and re-adding it and see if that helps. Also, try duplicating that form and see if that has any change.

Also, download the logging plugin here: http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/

Install and activate the logging plugin (ignore the message it gives about your license). Then go to the Settings page of Gravity Forms and at the top you will see a Logging link. Click this link and then enable all messages for Gravity Forms Core. Save. Next time the form gets filled out a log will get created. Go back to the Logging page and there will be a link to view the log. See if this shows anything useful surrounding the notification details.
