Advanced Field information won't display on entry detail

  1. We have a form on the site that uses the "Name" advanced field.
After a user has submitted a form, the name shows up in the backend on the entries list page.
The problem is on the detail page for the entry.
None of the advanced field entries display their information (name and address).
Any idea what the issue is here?

Hi there - If you mean that you're using post fields but can't get the advanced fields into the post, then there are two solutions out of the box:

    (1) use the content template feature; you'll find an option for this in the Properties tab of the post title field; or
    (2) use custom fields instead and make changes to your loop so the custom fields are pulled in (there's info in the WordPress codex on that).

    Cheers
    Richard

  3. Like @RichardBest mentioned above. Are you viewing the Entry in the Entries area of Gravity Forms or are you using Gravity Forms to create Posts and not all the data in the form is showing up in the Post that is created?

If you are using Gravity Forms to create a Post, only POST FIELDS are used to create the post itself. Non-Post Fields won't be part of the Post that is created. The only way to include non-Post Fields in a WordPress Post is to use the Content Template functionality of the Post body field.

  4. Sorry for the late reply.
I am talking about the form entry in the Entries area of Gravity Forms.
    Thanks for the help.

  5. I think I have this same problem, in the entries section where you can see all the forms that have been filled out all that is showing is the date. Client is not happy, needs name and all the rest to show in the overview. I am using 1.5.2.8

  7. I figured it out, I guess we can select our entries now on the far upper right is an edit button.
    Thanks!

  8. I am having this problem again with a different client.
They have a ton of text on the top half of their forms, so I removed those in the entries overview, but the form will not pull over name, date or any of the fields I need.
I have tried it in 4 browsers. She has about 10 forms like this I need to fix. What do I do?
I cannot drag and drop at all, and I tried dragging the name field to the top to use the little arrows and it did not work.
