Ajax error while adding field - Thesis only

When trying to create a form, I get the error message, "Ajax error while adding field".

I've read through another post where someone had the same issue; that issue was solved by deactivating conflicting plugins. I don't have any plugins running other than Gravity Forms.

I think this issue is specific to the Thesis theme/framework. I notice the problem goes away when I switch to Twenty Eleven 1.3, so I upgraded my Thesis from 1.8.3 to 1.8.4. Even after upgrading to 1.8.4, the Ajax error message returns. I can't add any fields or forms.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Hi CFKane,

First of all what versions of wordpress and Gravity Forms are you running?

Now if Gravity Forms is up to date go to the settings page and set 'No-Conflict Mode' to 'On' then try adding fields to your form. The No-Conflict Mode should prevent your theme from including any of it's styles or scripts on the Gravity Forms pages which is what is most likely happening.

    Thanks Richardvav,
I'm running Wordpress 3.3.1 and Gravity Forms 1.6.3.2. I switched 'No-Conflict Mode' to on, but still get the same result.

When I changed the theme to Twenty Eleven, Gravity Forms allows me to create a form, but gives an error when I try to save it - "There was an error saving your form. Please contact our support team."

Problem solved. Had the same problem on live production server without Thesis theme, so I deleted Gravity Form plugin and reinstalled. Worked on production server, so deleted Gravity Form plugin on development server and reinstalled. Works perfectly.

No idea what happened - I'm guessing my download must have been corrupt.

Spoke too soon. Everything is fine *only* on my Mac OS X 10.6.8 development server. Still have the exact same problem - "Ajax error while adding field" & "Ajax error while saving form" - working on my Mac OS X 10.7.3 development server.

Problem only happens while using Thesis 1.8.4 on Mac OS X Lion; if I switch to Twenty Eleven theme, GF and 10.7 work great - but I have to switch back and forth between themes. Thesis and Gravity Forms work perfectly on Mac OS X 10.6.8.

With exception of OS X versions, all software is identical:
    Gravity Forms 1.6.3.2.1
    WordPress 3.3.1
    Thesis 1.8.4

Is it possible the Ajax error is specific to Mac OS X Lion.
    Can anyone help? Please.
