I need to know if there is a way to have each field individually saved as the user tabs out (using Ajax)?
And if it's possible for this data to be "remembered" if the user leaves the site prior to submitting the form? I.e. when they come back to the site, the information entered will be displayed in the corresponding fields.

Unfortunately saving the progress of a form so it can be completed later is not currently possible with Gravity Forms, the developers have mentioned in the past that it is a feature they plan on adding but it may not be for some time yet. The only way you could implement this now would be to hire a wordpress/php developer to produce the customisation/add-on for you.
