AJAX loading symbol takes 5 seconds to appear in IE

I've got a 4 page form here, and when using the form in IE, after clicking on the 'Next' buttons the loading symbol doesn't appear for a good 5 seconds.

Is there any way of forcing the loading symbol to appear straight away in Internet Explorer. It's quite a bad user experience as they assume it isn't working if it takes 5 seconds to actually give a response...

EDIT: The issue seems to occur when fields have been populated (i.e. if you click 'Next' without inputting any data the loading symbol appears straight away, however if you have filled in all the required fields it'll take at least 5 seconds to appear...).

Btw, username/password to view page is 'admin' and 'password12'.

  2. It took a little over 3 seconds for your page to load initially for me.

However, the AJAX spinner loaded immediately for me in IE 9 whether I had information entered in the form or not.
