Am I still eligible to renew my form that connected with paypal

A while back I hired a web developer. I purchased a gravity form from him. He wrote the form and connected it with paypal.

It has recently expired. I was having email problems and I didn't get the reminder. When I finally got the reminder the form had expired. I didn't think much of it at the time. I bought a new form. I missed out on the renewal discount but it wasn't much so I didn't worry about it. (at least that is all that I thought I was missing out on)

After I purchased the form, I learned that it won't connect to paypal. My old form did but that was purchased through a developer. By missing the renewal date by about 3 weeks, I missed a lot more than the renewal discount. Although I missed it by only about 3 weeks (due to an email problem) it took a couple of months before I realized that I lost my ability to connect to paypal.

    My question is.

Because of the circumstances, will you allow me to upgrade and connect to paypal? To prove to you my story I'll supply my licence key (from the expired form) and the license key of the new form

If this is not possible then tell me that I understand this correctly. Please confirm or reject my understanding.

I must have a form that works with paypal. It's unfortunate that I missed the renewal. It's also unfortunate that I purchased the wrong form. This was a waste of money because it can't be upgraded. My only choices is to purchase a developers license or find a developer that will sell me a form. This unfortunate situation developed from an email problem that made me 3 weeks late to renew my old form. However, that's your problem and has nothing to do with Gravity Forms.

  2. When the license key expires, nothing stops working. The plugin is still active and will continue to function. With no valid license key, you lose access to upgrades and the support forums.

One possibility is that a recent update to WordPress or another plugin on your website caused your integration between Gravity Forms and PayPal to stop working. In that case, it sounds like you have another problem causing things to stop working and we should start by troubleshooting that problem separately. Please start with a link to your form.

How were you able to post to the regular support forums? That normally requires a valid license key.

Thank you for your reply. That's music to my ears.

I'm glad to hear that my form still works. (the old one that connects with paypal) I didn't know because I didn't try it. I haven't touched it for almost a year now while I was busy sorting out other parts of my website. I assumed that it didn't work because it expired. I bought a new form then found out that it won't work with the advanced add ons.

  4. Do you need any more assistance?

For the record, you're not really buying forms. We don't sell forms, we sell a form plugin called Gravity Forms. With it, forms can be created. It's possible you paid a developer to create a form for you, and you are using their developer license, which is completely legitimate. No matter how you paid or what you paid for, even when the license key expires, your forms will continue to work. We always recommend updating to the latest version of Gravity Forms and keeping up with WordPress updates, and because they go hand in hand, the possibility exists that a WordPress update or change will cause Gravity Forms to stop working. That's nothing we can control, and when we notice conflicts like that, we update the Gravity Forms plugin. Without a valid license key, you would not have access to that update.

Please let us know if you have any more questions.
