Analytics Event Tracking and Website Optimizer help

  1. I successfully installed the event tracking code for Google Analytics that I found here: http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/onclick-tracking#post-7734 Thanks for sharing that!

I am also running Google's Website Optimizer's A/B testing to see which pages perform better. The test requires a conversion page, so that means the event tracking wouldn't work because the conformation message is taking them to a page instead of displaying text. In this case it's "Nice! Your successful form submission was recorded by Google Analytics." . Is there a way to satsify all three needs, meaning, is there a way that I could record event tracking and still send people to the conversion page?

  2. Just as a follow up, I did find this article: http://support.google.com/websiteoptimizer/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=93178 I'm going to look into it to see what I can do. From the post: You can easily set up your experiment so that submitting a form is counted as a conversion. This can be useful if you are trying to measure how certain pages affect, for example, your newsletter subscription rate or requests for quotes. To set up submission of a form as a conversion, you'll need to modify your conversion code and any form you want to use to count the conversion.
