Applying an expected format on fields

  1. Hello
Is there a way of applying a custom "expected format" on fields? (eg ####-####-####-####).
Or at least, is there a way of demanding a spesific number of characters (eg exactly 20) to be typed in a field in order for the subition to be accepted?
    Thank you

  2. In 1.6, Gravity Forms introduced input masks. I think that's what you're looking for. It's very close to a final release. If you have the option while building a development site, please install the latest release candidate (currently RC4) and let us know if it works for you, and if you encounter and trouble.

Description of the new input mask feature:

    Thanks.

  3. That is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you.
I will let you know if i have any issues. I suppose that if I insall 1.6 RC4 it will automatily update when 1.6 is released (like the normal versions do). Am I right?

  4. You will need to manually update from the RC to the final 1.6 version. I don't believe automatic upgrade works from the RC. You would have to manually update using FTP or command line.

Also, 1.6RC5 was released today, in case you have the opportunity to use that instead.
