Are there custom CSS stylesheets ("themes") available for download anywhere?

  1. Hi,

I'm new to Gravity Forms and while I love the functionality, the default style sheet (forms.css) is rather boring and dated looking. The forms.css file is massive, and I'm wondering if instead to spending a lot of time modifying this code, if there is a custom Gravity Form CSS depository whereby I can just select a more stylish "theme" and and swap out the code in the forms.css file.

    Thanks,

    John

  2. John,

No. There aren't any 'themes' or alternate CSS files to download at this time. We're working on an add-on to add some basic themeing capability but that's not ready to go yet. The forms are intended to inherit most of the look and feel from your theme. There is a lot of positioning-related styles in the forms.css file, but the rest of the styling is intended to come from theme inheritance.

If you want to make customizations, you'll want to add any new custom CSS rules to your THEME stylesheet. Don't edit the actual forms.css file that's in the plugins folder as that gets overwritten any time you do auto-updates and any changes you make there will be wiped out.

  3. Thanks Kevin. I'm going through the .css right now and it's not as bad as I thought. Yes, I saw in the stylesheet comments that the forms.css file gets overwritten with an update, however, I am modifying that file directly, and I'll just keep a separate copy of it for when update time rolls around. - Thanks again!
